Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a motivated and experienced Tech Transactions and Data Privacy (Incident Response) Associate Attorney to join their team in Dallas, TX. The successful candidate will work on complex legal matters relating to privacy litigation, incident response, and data privacy, including federal, state, and international privacy regulations. The attorney will manage case work-ups, provide practical legal advice to clients, and handle sophisticated privacy-related transactions. This role provides immediate client interaction and requires superior research, writing, and problem-solving skills.Key Responsibilities:

Manage all elements of case work-up and trial preparation in privacy litigation matters.Conduct extensive legal research and draft briefs, complaints, pretrial motions, memoranda, and discovery requests.Provide counsel on federal, state, and international privacy laws, regulations, and compliance issues.Handle client-facing matters, offering practical legal advice on complex data privacy and security incidents.Collaborate with clients to respond to data breaches, cybersecurity incidents, and other privacy violations.Participate in privacy-related litigation, including drafting motions and preparing for hearings and trials.Work closely with senior attorneys and clients to ensure legal strategies align with business objectives.Ensure compliance with global privacy standards and assist clients in navigating GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy frameworks.Keep clients informed of developments in privacy laws, regulations, and enforcement trends.Draft and review data privacy policies, incident response plans, and cybersecurity frameworks.Job Requirements:

Significant experience managing litigation work-up and preparing for trial, particularly in privacy-related matters.Strong background in legal research and writing, including the ability to draft various legal documents such as briefs, complaints, and motions.Proven knowledge of federal, state, and international privacy laws and regulations.Ability to interact directly with clients and offer strategic and practical legal advice on complex privacy and incident response issues.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Education and Certifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Active Bar membership in Texas (or the ability to waive in).Excellent academic credentials.Preferred Experience:

Previous experience in a law firm or a similar legal environment.Experience in privacy litigation and incident response.Familiarity with global privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other key regulations.Required Skills:
