The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in environmental law, coupled with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a variety of responsibilities effectively.Duties:Effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with clients, attorneys, business professionals, and third parties.Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and respond to correspondence in an efficient and timely manner.Provide high-quality, accurate work products while meeting deadlines and expectations.Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and clients.Comply with all firm policies and practices.Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, including extended periods of computer work, virtual conference calls, and participation in meetings.Perform other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.Requirements:Strong background in environmental law with experience in key environmental statutes (TSCA, FIFRA, CAA, CWA, CERCLA, RCRA) and analogous state laws.Concentrated experience in environmental litigation, regulatory compliance, and defense of enforcement actions.Familiarity with working with agencies such as the EPA, NOAA, Fish and Wildlife, DOI, and state agencies is preferred.Experience advising clients on emerging environmental issues, regulatory requirements, liability exposure, and public relations matters.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.Admitted to practice in Washington, D.C. and at least one additional state.Certifications:Bar membership in Washington, D.C. and another state.Skills:Strong analytical and writing abilities with a keen attention to detail.Excellent organizational and management skills.Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.Proficient in research and problem-solving, with conceptual thinking capabilities.Ability to influence others and employ persuasive communication techniques.Experience:A minimum of 3 years of prior law firm or agency experience in environmental law.Comprehensive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision insurance and a 401(k) plan.Company info
