Job Overview:

A law firm in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Mid-Level Environmental Regulatory Associate Attorney with a strong background in environmental law and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess the skills to navigate complex environmental statutes and foster positive relationships with clients and regulatory agencies.Duties:Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and respond to correspondence efficiently and responsively.Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products while meeting deadlines.Foster positive work relationships and comply with all firm policies and practices.Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, including extended computer use and participation in meetings and conference calls.Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.Requirements:Admitted to practice in Washington, D.C., and another state.Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental law.Prior law firm or agency experience is required.Education & Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Skills:Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail.Excellent organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively and independently.Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.Research and problem-solving skills, with conceptual thinking abilities.Good business judgment and persuasive communication skills.Familiarity with environmental litigation, regulatory compliance, and key statutes including TSCA, FIFRA, CAA, CWA, CERCLA, RCRA, and analogous state laws.Experience negotiating agreements related to compliance and cost recovery.Familiarity with advising clients on emerging environmental issues and public relations matters.Background in heavy metal industries, defense industries, chemical manufacturing, and/or maritime industries preferred.
