$73,396.04 - $110,094.06Summary of Job Responsibilities:The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Senior Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering corporate communications and related strategies for the organization. Responsibilities include preparing and disseminating external and internal communications across all mediums in support of Southcentral Foundation’s Vision, Mission, and values. This position serves as a subject matter expert for communication strategy and brand awareness for internal and external customers.Minimum Qualifications:SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, English, journalism, or related area; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.Three (3) years of experience in journalism, public relations, communication, marketing; OR demonstrated proficiency as a Communications Specialist II or Marketing Specialist II at SCF.Native Preference:Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting and training. SCF Human Resources must receive certification before applicants receive preference.Employee Health Requirements:Compliance with our Employee Health procedure is a condition of SCF employment. You are required to agree that you will comply with all job-related employee health screening and immunizations prior to your first day of employment.
