A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Product Design and User Interface/Patent Agent to join its team in Park City, UT. The ideal candidate will work on cutting-edge patent preparation and prosecution in the fields of software, AI, IOT, networking, and quantum technologies. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, legal experience, and excellent communication skills to manage patent portfolios and liaise with clients on innovative projects.Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, file, and prosecute patent applications with the USPTO, focusing on product design and user interface inventions.Conduct in-depth patent searches, analyze results, and prepare legal opinions on patentability and freedom to operate.Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and designers to understand and protect intellectual property related to emerging technologies, such as AI, IOT, networking, and quantum computing.Draft and manage responses to USPTO office actions and other communications.Provide strategic patent portfolio management and counseling services for clients in various industries.Conduct due diligence reviews and advise on patent-related aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and licensing deals.Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology trends and patent law developments.Present patent strategies and analysis to internal teams and clients clearly and concisely.Review and analyze competitor patents to identify risks and opportunities for clients.Education and Certifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required.A degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science is required.Advanced degrees in relevant technical fields are preferred.Skills and Experience:

Minimum of 2+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.High level of academic achievement, demonstrating strong analytical abilities.Strong background in software-related technologies, artificial intelligence, IOT, networking, or quantum technologies.Proven ability to draft high-quality patent applications, with attention to detail and precision.Experience working in both law firm environments and in collaboration with engineering teams.Superb written and oral communication skills, with an ability to explain complex legal and technical concepts to non-experts.Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Additional Qualifications:

Strong understanding of USPTO procedures and patent law.Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.Previous experience managing client relationships and providing tailored patent strategies.Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically about IP-related issues.Job Location:
