Salary Range: $132,300.00 - $160,000.00*

The salary range is the one that Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP reasonably expects to pay for this position. JOB SUMMARY:

In conjunction with the Director of Recruiting, the Legal Recruiting Manager is responsible for overseeing on-campus interviewing, design and implementation of the firm’s summer program. The manager works with the Director and the Chairs of the firm’s recruiting committee and other firm leaders to develop strategies for sourcing, attracting, and hiring highly-talented and diverse attorneys.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Recruiting Management

Works collaboratively with Director and Operations Manager to oversee department staff, ensure commitments are kept and operations run smoothly.

Acts as backup support to the Director and Operations Manager.

Work closely with senior leaders, committee chairs and attorneys in the firm.

Manages assigned legal recruiting team members to ensure seamless operation of the department.

Program Management

Work closely with Director to manage all aspects of law student recruiting efforts, including on-campus interviews, callbacks and offers.

Manage all administrative aspects involved in on-campus and entry level recruiting, including registering for on-campus interviewing programs, job fairs and student outreach events. Maintain a calendar of events.

Work closely with Director to implement all aspects of the Summer Associate Program, including planning and attending summer associate events, managing work assignments and the review process.

Build strategic relationships with Career Services professionals, law student groups and affinity groups to advance the Firm’s recruiting strategies.

Coordinate with Development and Diversity on the 1L program and diversity hiring strategies and initiatives.

Performs other projects and tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED Required; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred

A minimum of four years of management level recruiting experience in a law firm or professional services and prior supervisory experience is strongly preferred.

Ability to work effectively with all levels of management.

Ability to break down situations that seems complex into easily digestible solutions.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Knowledge of legal employment issues.

Ability to understand unconscious bias and its effect on recruiting and hiring.

Strong organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively and handle multiple deadlines.

Ability to set priorities, work independently and handle a variety of duties effectively under time constraints.

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.

Resourceful, ability to find creative solutions and avenues to fulfill the firm’s recruiting needs.

Highly proactive and responsive.

Proficiency in using social media platforms to promote the firm’s recruiting efforts.

Ability to develop and analyze reports and projections regarding market trends in diversity, legal recruiting and retention.

Ability to quickly and comfortably understand workflow and can document and improve it efficiently.
