Yes, 24/7 in house - most patients are followed by a hospitalistPaging system to communicate with providersSecure chat to communicate with providersCentralized Tele Monitoring: 24/7 to assist with Tele reading and alarm notificationsViolent Incident Response teamCharting System/Equipment:Epic – (preferred) please let CRT know if traveler does not have EPIC experience so they can ask approvalAlarisOmnicellFloating: If yes, where?Adult Inpatient Units - Med Surg, Ortho/Neuro/Surgical, Heart and Vascular Unit, Oncology, ICU (depending on experience), ObservationCould be floated within scope of practice and belowWill float in rotation with other travelersOrientation: (facility and unit)2 days of in class/online education(2) 12-hour shifts with a preceptorScheduling:Weekend rotation – Every other or 50% weekends per 4-week schedule. Weekends are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.Will they be on call? If so, what is that schedule? Travelers are not scheduled On Call hours, but may be placed On Call related to Low Census if hours are over guaranteed weekly hours OR traveler requests to be low censused On CallHoliday Expectations: Every other holiday minimum during contracted timeframeApproval of time off? Up to 7 days. Must extend contract if unable to work a full week to accommodate a 13-week contract.
