TravelUnit Notes:- Unit: ER- Fast track : 4 bed fasttrack- # beds/trauma bays: 32 beds and 6 treatment chairs- # Psych/seclusion rooms: room set up specifically for psych but they have a large population of psych that they use other rooms for psych- # patients per day: 208 per day, up to 317 depending how busy they are- Certs: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC is preferred- Ratios: 1 to 4, 1 to 1 or 2 if ICU status- EMR: Cerner- Charge Nurse: yes - Assistant nurse manager on 24/7, they do not take a patient assignment- Nurse Aides/Paramedics: ER techs - CNAs and EMT's- Security/Patient sitters: CNAs are patient sitters if needed, security is in lobby if needed- Weekend Requirement: every other- Holidays: they will work them in with perm staff rotation- Scrub Color: navy- Tele/Monitor Techs: Phillips -nurses must read and interpret strips, they have a unit clerk that functions like a monitor tech- Vents: Yes- ED Physicans/Mid-Levels: MD's and midlevels used- Lab Draws: nurses are not allowed to do lab draws- IV Team: No-RT 24/7: Yes- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes- Shifts: 12 hr shifts, 7-7, 11-11, 3-3- Floating: they will have to float t Arroyo Grande to work their ER-Floor specific orientation: 3 shifts- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: a lot of trauma, 30% of population is peds, stroke, STEMI's, etc.- Additional Notes: Candidates must have 2 years of experience or more, travel experience is preferred.Cancellation Policy:Hospital may cancel up to 3 times per contract. Each cancellation could be a full shift or any part of a shift.
