A law firm located in Dallas, TX is seeking a Trademark Attorney to join its growing team. The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic trademark practice representing clients in regional, national, and international trademark matters and disputes. This role focuses on trademark clearance, filing strategies, prosecution, enforcement, and related legal transactions. The ideal candidate will bring substantial expertise in handling trademark-related legal issues and should possess strong legal knowledge in intellectual property.Job Responsibilities:

Advise clients on trademark clearance, filing strategy, and prosecution on regional, national, and international levels.Conduct enforcement investigations, including drafting and issuing cease and desist letters in cases of trademark infringement.Negotiate and draft co-existence and settlement agreements in trademark-related disputes.Handle trademark portfolio management, monitoring, and renewal of trademarks.Provide transactional legal support for advertising law, intellectual property, and technology licensing, and copyright matters.Assist with client consultations regarding social media and online branding matters.Represent clients in trademark opposition, cancellation proceedings, and domain name disputes.Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft legal memoranda related to trademark matters.Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm on cross-disciplinary intellectual property issues.Maintain strong client relationships and provide high-quality legal services in a timely and professional manner.Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of direct trademark law experience, including prosecution and enforcement matters.Active law license in good standing.Demonstrated experience with trademark clearance, filing strategy, and enforcement actions.Transactional experience with advertising law, intellectual property licensing, copyright, or social media (preferred).Strong knowledge of U.S. trademark laws and international treaties, including the Lanham Act and Madrid Protocol.Excellent academic credentials.Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Member of a State Bar in good standing, preferably Texas, or eligible for immediate admission.Certifications:

Admission to practice law in the state of Texas (preferred) or the ability to waive in.Skills:

Strong research and writing skills with attention to detail.Excellent critical thinking and analytical abilities.Proficient in trademark portfolio management software and legal research tools.Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.A team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
