Director of Transportation

JOB GOAL:

To transport students to and from school and school events in a safe and efficient manner.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Obeys all traffic lawsObserves all mandatory safety regulations for school busesTransport students/passengers to and from school and eventsSupervise and assist passengers (including disabled) on and off the busPerform pre-trip inspections dailyDischarge passengers at authorized stops onlyMaintain rules governing passenger conduct on busCollect and submit personal items left on bus to bus officeComplete and maintain accurate and timely records and reports ( i.e. time sheets, mechanical reports, route descriptions, seating charts, etc.)Attend scheduled in-service trainingAdhere to regular service schedule for busClean bus (i.e. sweeping, washing front and back windows, etc.)Maintain positive communication with school personnel, parents, and studentsDress appropriateWorks with others consistently in a cooperative and respectful mannerExercises responsible leadership when on out-of-district school tripsPerform other duties as assigned

Other information: Nine (9) Months on the Bus Driver Salary Schedule, Starting Salary- $17.46 per hour
