Established in 2003, we continue to innovate in the sports marketplace and build solutions for our constantly evolving world.This role oversees all aspects of sports partnerships that are under multiple client portfolios, as well as manage a team dedicated to support. Our purpose is to provide strategy, consultation, recommendations, and oversight regarding sports rights holders marketing initiatives for Optimum Sports’ clients. This position reports directly into Chief Partnerships & Consulting OfficerDuties & Essential FunctionsLead the Optimum Sports’ Property Marketing GroupWork alongside Optimum Sports account teams across offices by providing consultation, strategic direction, and recommendationsOversee and manage team members within the Property Marketing GroupNegotiate high-level team, league and talent partnershipsManage senior-level relationships on behalf of clients with multiple sports teams and leaguesPresent new partnership opportunities and annual sports strategic recommendations to senior level executivesDesign decks and word documents that convey strategy supported with appropriate research, as neededProduce and interpret relevant research from third party data, industry trades and additional sourcesProactive in identifying new projects and business opportunities with existing clientsRecognize and solve tactical problems; participate in development of strategic solutionsDevelop broad understanding of clients’ business needs, KPI’s, goals and objectivesManage multiple clients and projects simultaneouslyStrong understanding and experience with personal service agreements (PSA), athlete marketing process, workflow, and agent managementStrong knowledge and understanding of sponsorship legal terms and contractual languageExtreme familiarity with in-stadium partnership structure, assets, team dynamics, and overall sponsorship terminologyFamiliar with digital world both related to sports specific sites, as well as social channels and content strategiesFamiliar with traditional sports media assets, strategy, trends, and general terminology supportive in business development and growing Optimum SportsContributes to company initiatives: business pitches and internal projects, as neededEducation & Standards15+ years of relevant experience in sports businessDeep expertise in partnership (rights holder) marketingExtensive sports marketplace contacts networkUndergraduate degree required (preferably Marketing, Business, Sports Management or Communications)Extremely strong communicator and presenter, in person and on conference callsCreative thinker who develops unique ideas, solutions, and programsHighly organized, with the ability to manage and prioritize many simultaneous deliverablesExperience with data, analytics, and measurement solutionsCritical SkillsStrong ability to effectively communicate ideas in both a written and verbal settingsExpert in industry knowledge and understanding of sports marketing and media vernacular and trendsAbility to work well under pressure and deliver assignments under deadlineStrong management skills and the ability to be a strong team leaderHigh level of proficiency in word, excel, power point, online researchSolution oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skillsEfficient, organized and ability to handle multiple tasksSelf-sufficient, enthusiastic, and proactively pursues assignments#LI-JS2This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
