Overview
Taylor Guitars is looking for a passionate guitar player to take on the role of Social Media Marketing Manager.
The Social Media Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of Taylor's organic and paid social media marketing and content strategies in order to grow the company's audiences, engagement, and sales generated across social channels, while increasing Taylor's online presence and sales efforts for the brand and key dealer partners globally.
This role is responsible for working directly with executive leadership and internal teams such as: marketing and sales, as well as external partners, artists, influencers, affiliates, dealer and retail partners, creative and production partners, and other key resources. The Social Media Marketing Manager will plan strategic social channel content objectives related to sales and business performance goals, socialize those plans and related content calendars, produce and aggregate polished multimedia content and messaging against those objectives, ensure accurate and timely distribution of that content across internal and external channels including Taylor's and dealers' digital audiences, and provide consistent performance analysis and reporting to highlight success stories and identify new opportunities.
This role will also work with internal and external agencies and technology partners in the planning, development, execution, and evaluation of strategic paid media campaigns across performance marketing initiatives including paid social prospecting and retargeting, social selling, and more to support Taylor's success in targeting guitar shoppers across their buying journey.
The ideal candidate will offer demonstrated creativity and expertise across social media channels, including familiarity with algorithms and best practices, audience growth and engagement tactics, content strategy, targeting and social selling through Commerce Manager. The ideal candidate will also offer expertise with organic and paid search strategies, tracking and analytics through channel data platforms, UTMs, and Google Analytics. The Social Media Marketing Manager will serve as the Taylor team's global marketing expert in these disciplines, as well as its leading advisor and liaison to Taylor's digital partners, in this "always on" role.

Essential Functions Statement(s)• Lead, strategize, plan, implement, manage, and execute Taylor's global organic social media, paid media, and content strategies across channels• Plan, develop, and curate shareable/timely video, photo, and live content for Taylor's social marketing channels; including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Vero, Tik-Tok, WeChat, and others• Work with internal and agency partners to plan, develop, and execute paid social strategies including prospecting, retargeting, social selling, and other digital ad campaigns• Develop and implement content strategies designed to address target segments across their customer journey• Use social media marketing, project management, and team communication tools such as Later, Co-Schedule, Digital Asset Management, Airtable, Trello, Slack, and more to effectively plan, communicate, project manage, and execute social campaigns and content postings• Work with the creative team to manage and oversee social marketing content creation projects and workflow, meeting deadlines and staying within approved budgets• Help grow our subscriber base by providing regular, helpful content that's in-tune with the needs of our customers, guitar players, and potential new guitar players• Listen and engage in relevant social discussion about our company, competitors, and/or industry; both from existing customers and leads and from new audiences that haven't yet been exposed to the Taylor brand• Manage the Taylor brand within online communities like Instagram, Facebook and music forums• Work directly with key dealers, retail partners and affiliates to plan content objectives, produce and develop content against those objectives, and ensure accurate and timely distribution of that content to grow dealers' digital audiences and their Taylor business• Plan, schedule, produce, compile, and syndicate social content to key dealer and distributor partners, while nurturing dealer marketing personnel relationships and social/content marketing education• Work directly with artists and influencers to plan, develop, and execute mutually beneficial digital campaigns that drive audience growth, engagement, and goal accomplishment for all parties• Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create strong resources• Monitor, quantify, and report on audience growth, user engagement, relevant traffic and leads, sales conversions, and other KPI's from our social media presence to derive insights and opportunity areas• Use KPI reporting to make data-driven decisions that optimize social and paid performance to hit company goals• Keep team constituents up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, algorithm changes, technologies, and best-in-class executions across industries via online blogs and resources, educational seminars, etc.

Education & Experience:
5+ years' experience in digital marketing, social media, and paid media leadership
Other Requirements:• Passion and experience with playing acoustic and electric guitar is required• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software is required (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)• Strong ability to aggregate, manipulate, and report/visualize KPI data is preferred• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and/or Illustrator is preferred• Knowledge of Video Editing Software including Premier and/or AfterEffects, etc. is preferred• Knowledge of foreign social media in regions such as Asia, Europe, South America, and Russia is a plus
