Job Description Performs the more complex team duties including being responsible for mentoring and instructing less experienced team members and reviewing their work. Work tasks include the planning, researching, writing, reviewing, editing, formatting, illustrating, and publishing of technical materials. Independently makes decisions regarding which rules, processes, materials, or tools to use in order to effectively accomplish work assignments and develops ways to improve existing work processes. Takes an active role in interpreting and finding solutions for customer requests that are occasionally unclear, incomplete, or complicated. Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety. Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations. Job Responsibilities Performs project management tasks including interviewing customers to determine project scope. Participates in the design and development of new products. Performs the duties of a Technical Communicator. Participates on project teams and promotes teamwork. Develops, updates, and meets production schedules for publications. Consults with staff on multidimensional process and procedure problems/opportunities for improvement. Identifies areas of concern with assigned work products and initiates corrective action. Researches, analyzes, and synthesizes information from multiple sources in a clear and concise manner. Participates in emergency response efforts as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in English, Technical Writing, or related field; or equivalent experience. Five years of experience as a Technical Communicator, preferably in an engineering environment (or education/training and/or experience that constitutes an equivalent background). Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to independently and immediately produce high quality work. Demonstrated ability to understand how the work in the Technical Communications Team is done and why. The pay range for this position is$76,500.00-$127,200.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses. PSE offers a suite of benefits to our employees.
