ACARA Solutions and our client have a 100% REMOTE contract-to-direct hire position available.Principal Design Drafting Technician$55.00-$60 per hour DOEPosition Overview:We are seeking a skilled Principal Design Drafting Technician to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience to produce detailed design and documentation of mechanical components and subsystems.Key Responsibilities:Utilize your PCB expertise to guide design decisions and ensure manufacturability.Apply a minimum of 5 years of experience in material requirements, fabrication techniques, and manufacturability concepts to drive project success.Design and layout high-density multi-layer printed circuit boards (PCBs) using industry-standard CAD tools, backed by at least 5 years of experience.Conduct mechanical stress analysis, including structural, thermal, and tolerance assessments, with a focus on simplicity and effectiveness.Create accurate 2D and 3D CAD outputs for fabrication and assembly.Collaborate with the team on determining scale, inserting reference planes, and defining dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning.Prepare specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations, ensuring clarity and completeness.Produce detailed production drawings and contribute design modifications to enhance product quality and streamline manufacturing operations.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience in PCB design and related disciplines.Proficiency with industry-standard CAD tools for PCB layout and mechanical drafting.Strong understanding of mechanical stress analysis and manufacturability concepts.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality documentation.Job RequirementsRequired Skills / Qualifications:Associate's DegreeMinimum of 5 years experience in material requirements, fabrication techniques, and manufacturability conceptsMinimum of 5 years experience in the Design and layout of high-density multi-layer printed circuit boards (PCBs) using industry-standard CAD toolsMinimum of 5 years experience in simple mechanical stress; structural, thermal and tolerance analysisPreferred Skills / Qualifications:Experienced in the use of current strategic CAD tools; Cadence OrCAD or Cadence AllegroTeam player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team successExceptional problem-solving and communication skillsOpen to new ideas and serve as a champion for change when directed by managementCommitment to ongoing professional developmentAdditional Information:Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.Aleron companies (Acara Solutions, Aleron Shared Resources, Broadleaf Results, Lume Strategies, TalentRise, Viaduct) are Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employers.
