Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, this position will manage procurement projects, strategically negotiate contracts and source secondary suppliers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Sources strategically and investigating sources of supply.
Review simple to moderate purchase requisitions for accuracy and determine priorities. (Essential)
Negotiate complex contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal cost, quality, and lead times. (Essential)
Adjust and monitor MRP and material movement to determine if inventory levels need to be increased or decreased to meet production needs. (Essential)
Assess part availability to ensure correct quantities are available for production by checking material shortages, late open PO, and spiked customer usages. (Essential)
Confer with suppliers to determine factors that affect price and determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and schedules. Compile and analyze purchasing data, expenditures and trends identifying appropriate suppliers. (Essential)
Assist and be responsible for reducing overall costs by reducing working inventory, excess inventory, and obsolete parts activities. (Essential)
Actively work closely with SOM on forecasted parts to eliminate shortages, long lead-times, and sporadic usages by helping increase forecast accuracies and meet OTD to the customer at the requested date. (Essential)
Monitor and Communicate the status of Part number change due to (ECN/TCN) to the FSE's and SOM's and make appropriate MRP adjustments. (Essential)
Maintain a safety goal of 100% (Essential)
Complies with EBARA safety policies, including participation in and completion of all required safety training. (Essential)
Perform other duties as assigned. (Non-essential)

Computer Skills
Working knowledge of computer systems including software packages such as Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer
Sufficient PC skills to manage information and to prepare reports and presentations without support.
Working knowledge of Supply Line Management. Working knowledge of ISO 9000 procedures and standards.
Working knowledge of general office procedures and equipment.
Strong program management skills. Able to work independently and manage multiple projects.
