Job Overview:Seeking a dedicated Workers' Compensation Attorney with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join a growing law firm in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves representing clients in workers' compensation claims, managing cases from initial consultation to resolution, and ensuring clients receive appropriate compensation and benefits. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely 2-3 days per week, with occasional travel to court as needed. The firm values a collaborative work environment and work-life balance, with reasonable billing requirements.Duties:

Represent clients in workers' compensation claims, including filing petitions, negotiating settlements, and advocating in administrative hearings or court.Manage all aspects of workers' compensation cases, including gathering evidence, preparing legal documents, submitting reconsiderations, and coordinating with medical professionals.Negotiate with opposing counsel to achieve fair settlements for clients.Conduct legal research to support case strategies and stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws.Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on the claims process, legal rights, and potential outcomes.Prepare and review legal documents, including claims, briefs, and appeals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.Represent clients in administrative hearings, mediation sessions, and court proceedings.Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates, answer questions, and address concerns.Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in workers' compensation law or a related legal field.Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.Proficiency in legal research and case management, with experience using LexisNexis being a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:

Active license with the California State Bar.Certification in workers' compensation law or related specialties is a plus.Skills:

Strong legal research and drafting abilities.Excellent client management and communication skills.Ability to manage complex workers' compensation cases independently.Proficiency in legal technology and case management systems.
