Kopius is seeking an experienced
Software Architect
to lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge cloud-based applications, AI/ML solutions, and data engineering projects for enterprise clients. In this role, you will work within an agile, collaborative environment, driving technical innovation while ensuring scalability, security, and performance. You will act as a technical leader, supporting cross-functional teams and aligning solutions with the client's strategic objectives.
About the role:The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in AWS and Azure Cloud technologies, extensive experience building modern cloud solutions, and the ability to mentor teams in agile development practices. This role is pivotal in accelerating project delivery and ensuring alignment with the evolving digital needs of our clients. At Kopius, you will work alongside a group of talented engineers, project managers, and analysts defining and implementing end-to-end, leading-edge software solutions for our enterprise clients. With Kopius, you would work within our Agile delivery model that includes cross-functional teams, including project managers, software developers, and client stakeholders, to ensure that the solutions you create align with the client's goals and requirements. The role would be a leadership position to accelerate delivery of key software solutions for our customers in an agile ecosystem around Cloud Web Apps, AI/ML solutions, data engineering, DevOps, AWS CDK, and SDK for example. You will work in a collaborative environment where you can influence direction and see the impacts of your contributions. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to assess business and technical needs, developing robust cloud solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
Provide architecture expertise and technical leadership, ensuring best practices are followed in software design, cloud infrastructure management, and AI/ML integration.
Design and deploy solutions on AWS and Azure, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and cost-efficient.
Lead teams in agile practices, focusing on continuous improvement and efficient delivery of cloud, AI, and data engineering solutions.
Work closely with software developers, project managers, and client stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring clarity on business requirements.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting knowledge-sharing and skill development across teams.
Stay current with the latest trends in cloud architecture, AI/ML, and data engineering, and incorporate these into client solutions when applicable.
Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure to maintain optimal performance and scalability, addressing technical debt and driving operational excellence.
Create and maintain comprehensive architecture and solution documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and reusability.
Basic Qualifications:
Self-motivated, quick learner, and adaptable to new technologies and legacy systems.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
Qualifications:
15+ years of experience in software development and architecture for enterprise-level clients, with at least 5 years of experience in cloud architecture (AWS and Azure).
Deep knowledge of cloud architecture principles, including security, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.
Hands-on experience with modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, React, Python).
Proven expertise in databases (SQL, NoSQL, Postgres, Snowflake, Databricks) and experience with data engineering technologies (ETL/ELT, real-time data pipelines, streaming).
Experience with DevOps, infrastructure as code (IaC), and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of AI/ML tools and practices, including experience with LLM modeling and tools like GitHub CoPilot, AWS CodeWhisperer, and other generative AI technologies.
Strong architecture documentation and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Tech Stack: Typescript, TypeORM, Antd, Material Design, Redis, AWS (SQS, SNS, S3, EC2, API Gateway, Lambda Functions, Secret Manager), and AWS (Repo, CI/CD).
Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect & Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect.

Pay range: $150,000 - $180,000 annually.
Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
