Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a proven background in the pharmaceutical industry. The CFO will oversee all financial operations, providing strategic leadership and financial expertise to guide the company’s growth and profitability. This role involves managing financial planning, risk management, compliance, and capital allocation to support both short-term and long-term business objectives.Responsibilities:Financial Strategy & Planning:Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy in alignment with corporate goals and growth objectives.Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for the pharmaceutical business.Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive leadership team on financial matters, including market expansion, cost control, and investment opportunities.Financial Reporting & Compliance:Oversee the preparation and timely delivery of accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and regulatory filings.Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including GAAP/IFRS standards and pharmaceutical industry-specific requirements (FDA, SEC, etc.).Work closely with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and legal teams to maintain financial transparency and accountability.Capital Allocation & Investment Management:Manage the company’s capital structure, ensuring efficient allocation of financial resources to support R&D, product development, and market expansion.Oversee investment strategies, including mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships, to drive business growth and profitability.Evaluate financing options and manage relationships with investors, banks, and other financial institutions.Risk Management:Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks related to the pharmaceutical industry, including regulatory changes, market volatility, and competitive pressures.Implement risk management strategies and controls to safeguard company assets and ensure business continuity.Oversee internal audit and financial controls to ensure accuracy, integrity, and transparency in financial reporting.Operational Efficiency & Cost Management:Drive operational efficiency by monitoring key financial metrics, cost structures, and resource allocation.Implement cost control measures and optimize financial processes across departments, including R&D, manufacturing, and distribution.Lead initiatives to improve cash flow management, reduce operational expenses, and maximize return on investment (ROI).Leadership & Team Development:Lead and mentor the finance department, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Build and develop a high-performing finance team, ensuring the necessary skills and capabilities to support the company’s growth and strategic objectives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and operations, to drive business performance and decision-making.Business Partnering:Serve as a key business partner to the CEO and other senior executives, providing financial insights and guidance on strategic initiatives.Participate in business development efforts, including partnerships, licensing agreements, and market entry strategies.Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, board members, regulators, and industry associations.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.15+ years of financial leadership experience, with at least 10 years in a senior financial role in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations, pricing models, and market dynamics.Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting in a high-growth environment.Proven experience in capital allocation, mergers & acquisitions, and investor relations.Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.$130,000 - $180,000 a year#J-18808-Ljbffr
