A law firm in Andover, MA, is seeking a highly experienced Real Estate Attorney with a solid background in commercial and residential real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have 10-18 years of experience and a comprehensive understanding of real estate law. This position offers a variety of benefits, including a 401(k) retirement plan, contributions to health and dental plans, subsidized gym membership, and disability coverage.Job Description:Duties:Handle all aspects of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, leases, and related documents.Conduct due diligence on real estate transactions, including title searches, surveys, and environmental assessments.Advise clients on real estate investment strategies and property management issues.Ensure compliance with all relevant real estate laws, regulations, and policies.Represent clients in real estate litigation and dispute resolution proceedings.Provide legal counsel on zoning, land use, and development matters.Assist clients with real estate tax planning and appeals.Prepare and present detailed reports on real estate market trends and legal developments.Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient and effective client service.Requirements:A minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 18 years of experience in real estate law.Extensive experience in handling both commercial and residential real estate transactions.Proven track record of managing complex real estate deals and litigations.Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.Proficiency in legal research and the use of real estate legal databases.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in good standing with the Massachusetts State Bar.Certifications:Real Estate Law Certification (preferred but not required).Skills:In-depth knowledge of real estate law, including commercial and residential transactions.Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents related to real estate.Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear, concise advice.Familiarity with current real estate market trends and legal developments.Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
