Non-ExemptJob SummaryThe Advancement and Alumnae Relations Associate is an integral member of the School's Advancement and Alumnae Relations team. This position reports to the Director of Advancement with a dotted line to the Director of Alumnae Relations. The role supports all aspects of advancement with primary areas of focus on advancement graphic design and communications, alumnae relations activities, and support of advancement initiatives and events. This is a year-round, full-time, in-person position.Essential FunctionsAdvancement Design and Messaging:Advancing the mission of our school requires creative and effective visual and written communications that engage the community in our vision and mission. The Advancement and Alumnae Relations Associate will be responsible for the design and execution of a number of creative initiatives, including:Creating graphics for webpages, social media, emails and other communicationsComposing and sending visually engaging emailsManaging all correspondence related to Alumnae including designing the regular alumnae eNewslettersManaging in-house advancement mailings and ensuring that mailings/notices/ads etc. are completed on scheduleConstructing and updating the content of alumnae and other advancement web pagesAlumnae Relations:The Associate will work with the Director of Alumnae Relations to support the alumnae relations program, including:Managing the young alumnae councilExecuting the annual Alumnae ReunionManaging components of alumnae-giving programsPromoting and supporting details of all other alumnae and parents of alumnae events and programsAdvancement Initiatives and Events:Advancement programs seek to build a commitment to the mission of the school. Details are important, and the Associate will support the team and the school’s advancement programming to ensure an excellent experience and increased engagement with all of our constituents, including:Working with communications staff on media coverage and event promotionSupporting events and logistics as needed, i.e. nametags, RSVP list management, and occasionally attending evening and weekend events, etc.Maintaining office supplies and organizationSupporting Director of Advancement and other duties as assignedAdvancement Services Support:Advancement services provide support for fundraising operations. The Associate would ensure that donor correspondence is handled in a timely and professional manner. Tasks include:Assist the Advancement team with regular budget reconciliationQualificationsThree or more years of paid job experience is preferredGraphic design skills required, video editing skills are a plusExperience with digital fundraising, social media and communication toolsSpecial events, fundraising, or marketing experience is a plusSpecial consideration is given to alumnae of Sacred Heart Network schoolsComputer skills: Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), graphic design software, etc. Experience using Finalsite (website management), Canva, Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge (OLX), or similar products/databases is a plusAbility to work independently, but also participate as an active member of the Advancement Team and school communityExcellent communication skills, especially writtenAbility to juggle appointments, schedules, and set and reach goalsBachelor’s Degree requiredAs members of the international network of Sacred Heart schools, we are committed to attracting and retaining faculty with a passion for teaching, who demonstrate an active faith, practice a deep respect for intellectual values, promote social awareness, build community, and value personal growth and responsibility.
