Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Med Surg 4 SouthShift : Nights / 7p-7a, 12x3, 36 hrs/weekLength : 13 weeksWeekend Requirement: every other or 2 weekends per month is standard, could be higher to meetneeds of departmentHoliday Requirement: rotate in with regular staffNo CallRequirements:MS License1 year experienceMust have' skills: level 1 trauma experience requiredExperience at a larger facility with a lot of surgeries/high acuity patientsMust be comfortable with lines, chest tubesBLS, NIHSSCharge RN's have ACLS

50 mile radius ruleFingerprint requirementFloating Requirements?: within skillset, all staff float between all medsurg units. higher acuitypatients would be given to core staff
Beds: 26Nurse:Patient Ratios: typical ratio for all medsurg units is 1:5 up to 1:6 at times, ratio would beadjusted down for higher acuity patientsCommon diagnoses/Types of patients Strokes, Neurology patientsAre RNs required to titrate drips?: heparin, could have an order for amio and that can bestarted and then patient would be transferred to cardiac unitCommon titratable &/or set rate drips: cardiac drips on 3south only- Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit?: Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brandare the tele monitors?: every unit has tele capability, patients are monitored on all units, centralmonitor station will communicate with RN, 3south tele unit also has central monitors at nursesstation and every patient is on teleScrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided?: any color, needs to be solid color and professional
