About the Role: Are you a dedicated Occupational Therapist eager to support early childhood development? ProCare Therapy is seeking a skilled OT to join our team in Antioch, CA. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in helping young students develop essential skills within a nurturing school environment.
Your Impact:
Role: Full-time position in a dynamic and engaging school setting.Setting: Onsite, providing vital occupational therapy services to K-8 students.Focus: Working with students from kindergarten through 8th grade to enhance their functional skills and independence.Hours: Monday to Friday, standard school day hours from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with Wednesdays being in-service days where students dismiss two hours early.
What You'll Do:
Assess and Plan: Conduct thorough assessments and create personalized therapy plans.Intervene and Support: Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve students' motor skills and daily activities.Collaborate: Partner with teachers, parents, and school staff to provide comprehensive support.Monitor and Adjust: Track student progress and modify therapy plans as needed.Engage: Provide engaging one-on-one or small group therapy sessions tailored to each child's needs.
A Day in the Life: Start your day with a warm greeting from colleagues and the young students you'll be supporting. Mornings may involve conducting assessments or therapy sessions focused on early skill development. By midday, you'll collaborate with teachers and parents to discuss strategies and progress. The afternoon will be dedicated to additional therapy sessions, documentation, and planning, all contributing to the children's growth and development. On Wednesdays, participate in training sessions offered by school sites and district offices.
What Were Looking For:
Licensure: Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in California.Experience: Experience with early childhood students preferred.Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, with a passion for a school-based role.Commitment: A dedication to enhancing young children's functional abilities.
