Job Description:We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Berkeley, CA, for the 2024-2025 school year. This part-time position allows for a flexible schedule, providing services across no more than 3 school sites. The OT will work with elementary and middle school students, helping them improve functional skills necessary for academic success and daily living activities.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to studentsEvaluate students to determine their therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plansCollaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom and home environmentsParticipate in IEP meetings, providing input on therapy goals and student progressMaintain clear and consistent documentation of student progress and therapy sessionsEnsure compliance with school and state requirements
Qualifications:
Must have an active California OT licenseExperience working with children in an educational setting is preferredStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to manage a diverse caseload and effectively collaborate with school staff
