We are seeking an experienced Buyer/Planner to join our clients team in Berlin, CT. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of relevant experience and will play a crucial role in managing our procurement processes and supply chain operations. This position requires understanding of inventory management, vendor relations, and demand forecasting.
salary: $85,000 - $90,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: Bachelors
Responsibilities
Responsible for the purchase of a combination of the following: fabricated parts, subcontract manufacturing, production tooling and raw materialsPrepare purchase ordersWork closely with Engineering and Quality teamsPrioritize and expedite orders as necessaryAnalyze planning and manufacturing production schedulesReduce cost in the procurement of materialsEffective negotiation techniques and project related sourcing strategies are a mustWork to resolve invoice discrepanciesDevelop and maintain supplier relationshipsSupport to Engineering on new product development projects
