When traumatic situations occur, our staff is there to assist the individual or family with their journey of healing and recovery. Family Services cares for individuals who are isolated, abandoned or just need help developing the skills to live successfully.

Our Supervised Visitation program has an opening for a part-time Supervised Visitation Specialist working 30-39 hours a week from our Appleton office. The Supervised Visitation Specialist provides safe, secure environment for participants while supervising visits between parents and their children in various locations in the community and/or homes and may include transportation to/from visits. This position maintains files on each participant in an organized, uniform, and timely manner as determined by program needs.

Qualified candidates will have the minimum of a High School Diploma/GED. Preferred candidates will have an Associate's Degree in Human Services or related field or two years of experience. Qualified candidates will also have the ability to be assertive with parents to ensure that the visitation guidelines established by the referring worker are adhered to, and that child safety and well-being are ensured at all times during visits; the ability and knowledge base and skills necessary to make visual, physical, and mental assessment of clients and situations, utilizing approved social work methods. Observation and documentation skills are essential for this position as are strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of community resources, and excellent oral, written, and listening skills. A valid driver's license, auto insurance and reliable transportation are required. This position requires the ability to manage a flexible schedule to meet client needs; the typical schedule is four evenings per week with some day time hours and possibly weekend hours as needed.
