The hourly rate for this position is $20.50/hr + 5% shift premium. The 3rd shift hours are 11:30pm-8:00am.

This position works out of our Sturgis, MI location in the Abbott Nutrition division.

What You'll Work On
Material supply to production areas and related activitiesIncoming material receipt and storageGMP cleaningOther duties as assigned by leadershipSupply materials in a timely manner to the customerAssist in the unloading of various materialsEffectively utilize the MITS (Material Inventory Tracking System) to locate and deliver items based on FEFO (First Expiration, First Out)Effectively utilize MITS to accurately scan materials when moved - materials are in the location they are scanned toMust be able to read a production schedule and use to anticipate the needs of the customerDrive a fork lift safely and effectively, moving a variety of load types, using various storage methods (stacking, drive-in racks, push back racks, etc) without damage to material or facilityUnderstand and adhere to all storage requirements including allergen, plastics, oils, etc.Ability to work OT during the week and on weekendsYou'll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GEDPrior forklift experience or the ability to quickly learn the skillGood communication skillsMakes safety a priorityHas an understanding of cGMP's (current good manufacturing practices)Able to self-direct work
