NEX/16Job Summary:The Managing Editor will oversee the publication of each issue of Tri quarterly, closely monitoring each stage of the process. Among this position's many duties, they will supervise the social media editor and senior genre editors, hosting regular editorial meetings to coordinate submissions and evaluate workflow. They will solicit contributions, maintain the submissions management system, control reading periods, copyedit and review edited manuscripts, select cover art, update the masthead, write issue introductions, publish issues to the Tri quarterly website using Squarespace and Submittable, and handle author correspondence, contracts, and rights, including payments, royalties, and reprints. The Managing Editor will track and monitor the journal's budget, organize marketing materials and giveaways, and administer contests and special issues. They will travel to represent Tri Quarterly at the Association of Writers & Writing Programs annual conference.This position is a part-time position at 18.75 hours per week. The salary for this position will be $28,600 per year, which is $29.22 per hour.
