Responsibilities include:Develop strategies and reference architecture for software engineering teams within the Publications Division, specifically focused on business system including sales and marketing operations, revenue operations, editorial operations, and business process and workflow capabilities.Play a key role in engaging IT staff and peers to ensure successful product and policy rollout.Provide leadership in the research and development of new products using cutting edge technologies including Artificial Intelligence.Provide leadership in the research, development, and adherence to application standards, best practices, and patterns.Responsible for the planning and design of both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure solutions.Participate in enterprise architectural board (EAB) and other cross-functional technology architecture groups that reviews designs and implementations.Oversee and approve the creation of architecture documentation.Support and mentor less experienced architecture staff.Qualifications should include:Possess critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills.Knowledge of architecture, enterprise architecture, and application design patterns.Proven ability to gain knowledge of new technologies and conduct proof of concepts using well-established and innovative software development tools.Strong verbal and written communication skills. This role is based in our Columbus, OH office. A reasonable rate of compensation for this position is between

$126,000 & $171,000

Knowledge and experience of scholarly journal and book publishing, especially with knowledge and experience of content management, content markup and composition, and publishing workflow-related processes and technologies.Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).Experience with Linux/scripting, XML, and SQL.Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and/or Natural Language Processing (NLP) and language models (preferred).
