Lauderdale 33316As Event Service Manager, you will be responsible for event execution between the hotel and the customer during the meeting or event.What will I be doing?As Event Service Manager, you will act as a liaison between the customer and the hotel by directing each department within the hotel regarding their specific role in the on-site event. Successful achievement of this goal will ultimately contribute to the re-booking of the business for future dates. You will maximize revenues through effective up-selling of products and services and serve as the event planner's primary contact during the event on property, ensuring a positive experience.Essential Functions:Provide direction and supervision to affected departments and team members during the execution of meetings and/or events.Directly serve on-site group and catering customers in a proactive manner.Organize, plan, and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals.Communicate timely with internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents, or in person.Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, booking systems, and processes.Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints and settling disputes.Sell and influence both internal and external clients.Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating issues to determine the best solution.Ensure high-quality service by assisting others to understand guest needs and providing guidance and coaching when needed.Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.Regular attendance.What are we looking for?• Minimum Years of Experience: one (1) year Hospitality related experience at manager level.It would be advantageous for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:Knowledge of hotel property management systems (Delphi.fdc)Significant experience in revenue management or a similar analytical roleRelevant degree in business development or other relevant business field from an academic institution (CMP, CPCE)What will it be like to work for Hilton?Hilton is the leading global hospitality company, spanning the lodging sector from luxurious full-service hotels and resorts to extended-stay suites and mid-priced hotels.
