SALT LAKE CITY, UtahThe vision of the Utah Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity (GOEO) is to develop and sustain the world's greatest economy and quality of life. The office accomplishes this vision by cultivating economic prosperity in Utah.GOEO's marketing and communications team is seeking a highly skilled and creative multimedia manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have podcast editing, video production, script writing, and multimedia content creation expertise. This role is responsible for producing high-quality, engaging multimedia content, including the editing of podcasts, creation of videos, and other digital assets that enhance our brand and communication efforts. The multimedia manager will collaborate with various teams to bring ideas to life through audio and visual storytelling. This position's work schedule includes a flexible in-office, hybrid option. The position will have a one-year contract with the potential to renew for another year.The multimedia manager will work closely with the marketing and communications team director and all other team members. They will also interact with GOEO teams, executive management, businesses, government entities, officials, and key constituents.The position will support and adhere to the marketing and communications team’s vision and characteristics charter and execute assignments with great attention to detail that aligns with the office’s overall brand guidelines. Collaboration is at the heart of this role, and being a team player is required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Edit and produce high-quality podcasts, ensuring clarity, consistency, and professional sound quality.Manage the entire video production process, from concept to final edit, including filming, editing, and post-production.Collaborate with content creators, marketing, and communication teams to develop engaging multimedia content.Manage and organize digital media assets, maintaining an efficient and accessible content library.Ensure brand consistency across all multimedia content.Work closely with the marketing team to produce content aligned with GOEO's brand strategy and communication goals.Stay current on the latest trends and technologies in multimedia production, audio, and video editing.Troubleshoot technical issues related to audio and video production equipment and software.Education and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in multimedia, communications, film, or related field, or equivalent experience is preferred.Proven experience in podcast editing and video production, with a strong portfolio of work.Proficiency in multimedia editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Audacity, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop).Strong understanding of audio editing principles, sound design, and mixing.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Strong creative and storytelling skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Knowledge of video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio gear.Experience with YouTube, Vimeo, and podcast distribution platforms is a plus.About the Utah Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity
