Overview:
The position supports the mission of the university by providing desktop support for the Division. The position provides desktop and end-user support for Windows, Apple, desktop applications, Google Drive, Microsoft Office, and other end-user applications as acquired by the Division and the University. The position also assists their supervisor with inventory management, day-to-day administrative support, end-user training, access control (passwords, authorization, and security assignment), and data management. Act as backup to Assistant Director, Advancement Services and Biographic Maintenance preforming biographic updates and quality control review of large lists. This position will be responsible for the weekly quality control of new constituent records and Gifts reports from AlumniQ, processing the updates in Raisers Edge as needed. The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: up to $60,100. Responsibilities: Provides desktop support services to University Advancement staff members for the Windows and Apple operating systems and for applications that are installed on those computers. These applications include Raisers Edge, Microsoft Office, Google Docs and Drive, Google E-mail, Tableau end-user (reading reports), SSRS (reading reports), PaperSave, and our Jira ticketing system. Provide onboarding support, following standard operating procedures to configure computers for staff as they begin work. This includes monitoring for new employees, ensuring they have proper paperwork completed for security purposes, and that their email accounts are created properly. Acts as a backup to Assistant Director of Advancement Services and Biographic Maintenance, preforming biographic updates and quality control review of large lists. Processes the Weekly Quality Control of New Constituents records and Gifts reports from AlumniQ, processing the updates in Raisers Edge as needed. Provide onsite administrative support during Cardinal Weekend and Law Reunion for AlumnIQ. Monitor and manage the PC inventory for appropriate onboarding and off-boarding of staff. Continues to expand industry knowledge to keep abreast of best practices and philanthropy/higher education industry/trends. Work on Raisers Edge cleanup projects/coding as assigned. Supports the Division of University Advancement to achieve strategic and fundraising goals, as well as campaign goals/objectives, through positive and productive interaction and collaboration with all departmental staff. Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and requires excellent troubleshooting and problem solving for desktop support and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines; excellent communication skills including in person, over the phone, and through writing and correspondence; a motivated individual with a desire to learn and explore all aspects of fundraising and fundraising support; the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision; the willingness to work some evenings and weekends and be flexible with hours as required by the position. Strong interpersonal skills, self-awareness and emotional intelligence. A high regard for confidentiality and sensitivity in dealing with volunteers, donors, and colleagues in a professional, complex environment. College/University Advancement or hands-on computer technical support, experience with Raisers Edge, web design interface tools, programming or software testing is beneficial. Must have experience and comfort level with Windows and Apple operating systems and for applications that are installed on those computers. Experience with desktop support using a database as a programmer, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Docs. Familiarity with generally accepted office procedures, and ability to utilize internet for research-related duties. Must be able to maintain confidentiality, use tact and diplomacy in difficult situations and possess a commitment to serving others. The position must be able to work independently to determine priority of work, meet deadlines, and determine methods and procedures to resolve administrative office problems.
