About the role:

As a Senior Network Engineer on TQL's IT Infrastructure Team, you will be joining a close-knit group of Network and Server Engineers in a fast paced, high growth environment. Our Senior Network Engineers contribute to the strategic vision, are forward-thinking, and act as lead contributors in the architectural design, planning, testing, deployment, and validation of technology solutions.

Act as a product owner, defining vision, driving adoption and managing technical debtManage hardware and software lifecycle, maintain existing deployments and plan for future use-casesIdentify processes or technologies that can increase operational and business efficienciesProvide escalation support for junior network engineers and operations teamsManage the implementation of complex technical solutions with minimal oversightEnsure optimal network performance and network uptime of 99.99%Work within the guidelines of our change management process to conduct appropriate updatesDocument technical builds and configurations, service and administer account IDs and passwords to ensure business continuityParticipate in outage bridges with a focus of quickly restoring full functionalityDetermine root cause and mitigation/remediation efforts to avoid problem recurrenceProvide 24/7 first level support as part of an on-call rotationWhat you need:

Bachelor's Degree and CCNA Certification or equivalent amount of relevant experience4+ years of experience operating as a network engineer in a large enterpriseExtensive understanding of Layer 2/3 Networks, TCP/IP, IP Addressing Schemes, DHCP optionsExtensive hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting Cisco LAN/WAN hardware includingCatalyst 3850, 9200, 9300, 9500, including stacked deployments, ISR4k, UCS E-SeriesUnderstanding of routing protocols including OSPF and BGP, Static Routing, NATExperience with WAN and Tunneling protocols - MPLS, Metro Ethernet, IPSec, DMVPN, SSL VPNAbility to design redundant and resilient network configurations utilizing mechanisms/protocols such as StackWise Virtual, Multichassis Etherchannel, StackWise, StackPower, Port Channel, LACP, etc.Ability to perform and analyze packet capturesStrong background in proactive monitoring and alerting, including configurations of syslog, SNMP polling & trapping, bandwidth utilization and network baseliningDemonstrates strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and project-management skillsConsistent exercise of seasoned judgement and discretion in matters of significanceAbility to travel as needed - supports network at remote sites, 20-30% travel required
