Job Description:This position is located in the Information Technology Department in Columbia. The purpose of this position is creating, automation, and maintenance of reports, dashboards, Workspaces, and Azure data marts pertaining to SCDEW and its business units.
Incumbent will:- Create reports via SSRS and Power BI (both Pro and Desktop). Ensuring that access policies are applied and adhered to for all reports. Focus efforts on repeatable solutions rather than one-off reports. Works with and supplies end users with ad-hoc reports in instances where automation cannot be achieved.
- Is responsible for resolving any assigned ticket requests. Making recommendations on how best to complete the request. Position will follow the Systems Intelligence Development Life Cycle by ensuring all code is checked into and managed via the correct source control software for the solution being coded. This position will be required to use Terraforming for the deployment of objects to the cloud and storing all code in the established repositories.
- Will assist with the gathering of data models and data mapping of internal and external data in the data warehouse. Designing, coding, and maintaining SCDEW based data sets for an Azure Data Warehouse. This position will participate in the creation of the SCDEW Golden Data Model, mapping, creating documentation, and updating documentation throughout the process.
- Will be responsible for the Systems Integration API endpoints via C# code to act as a hub for SCDEW data connections and ensuring only proper credentials can access it.
- Must ensure data privacy and system security compliance for all operations that are integrated into the systems integration function of the IT department. Set up and ensure proper security groups are placed on Power BI Pro workspaces. Ensures that proper AD group permissions are set on API endpoints.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and experience in computer system development and modification. A bachelor's degree in a related area may substitute for the required work experience.Preferred Qualifications
Extensive knowledge in SQL, and experience with Microsoft Power BI and MS Azure.Additional Comments
