ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES (Other duties may be assigned)•Drives truck to destination providing accurate, timely and courteous service•Collects signature for goods delivered•Collects payment for goods delivered•Maintains truck log, trip reports, fuel tickets, toll tickets, vehicle condition reports to comply with state and federal regulations•Maintains safe driving record and notifies supervisor of any violations•Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water•Conducts pre-trip inspections per regulations/policy•Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit•Ensures proper load stability and balance•Handles properly all monies concerning COD/cash deliveries•Assists in loading of truck and recommendation of delivery schedule as requested•Observes all company safety practices and procedure•Presents professional images in appearance and behavior with customers, vendors, and co-workers•Reports and documents all delivery variances•Assist with warehouse duties as needed which includes:
o Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials, move containers or open containerso Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hando Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transito Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areao Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheeto Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containerso Observes all company safety practices and procedureso Loads truck for drivero Stacks of assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles togethero Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, cleans work area, machines, and equipmento Operates forklift or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products; moves levers and presses peals to drive lift and control movement of lifting apparatuso Ensures products are handled in accordance to established standardso Loads, unloads, straightens, and organizes product and warehouseo Controls and accounts for materials in order to minimize loss and damageo Responsible for staging, transporting, shipping, or returning products into and out of the warehouseo Completes cycle counts and some data entryo Utilizes state of the art radio frequency bar code scanning technology software and hardware
