Cisco Network Engineer

Our client is a provider of casino gaming, pari-mutuel horseracing, entertainment, and a source of online account wagering on horseracing events. They are seeking a Network Engineer to work onsite at their racetrack facility to assist with multiple projects including construction projects and an end-of-life equipment project. Due to the numerous projects, priorities shift, and this individual will need to be comfortable pivoting from priority to priority. The Network Engineer will assist with configuring and deploying Cisco switches, replacing end of life equipment from Cisco 2960 to 9200 and some from Cisco 3850 to 9500, identifying various cabling types (ex: OM1, OM3, and OS2), identifying where the threshold of light failure is to understand if there is a light failure or system configuration failure, and getting switches into a stacked configuration where they may not have been before. The individual will have someone supervise their work, but the ideal candidate can hit the ground running with minimal supervision.

* Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the ability to switch priorities as needed
