PositionOverview:

Siemens MobilityCustomer Service is seeking an experienced Project Procurement Team Manager. As a working manager of project procurement,you will oversee a team of six Project Procurement Managers (PPM) and be a keymember of the Strategic Procurement Leadership team. This role is responsiblefor leading all procurement activities and resources during the bid andexecution phases of customer projects, ensuring that projects are completed ontime, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You are a keyinterface for our Business Segment leaders. You are responsible for growing thestrength and depth of the Project Procurement Team. In addition, you will be responsible foracting as the Project Procurement Manager for one of our longest runningTechnical Service and Support Contracts, accounting for 25%-40% of yourtime. The role will be based inSacramento, CA or Lexington, NC working onsite.

What yourday-to-day will look like:
  • Lead and mentor a team of six PPMs, ensuringalignment with core values of Humility, Putting the Business Needs First,Expertise, and Rigor.
  • Be a key member of the Strategic ProcurementLeadership team, contributing to high-level decision-making and strategydevelopment.
  • Ensure that our CS customers receive world-classservice, supported by a resilient supply base.
  • Integrate Procurement in the project managementprocess (PM[redacted]) and organize, control, and monitor all Procurementactivities in a project.

To thrive inthis role, you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration,Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other Business related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Procurement, ProjectManagement, or Negotiation experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct managementexperience.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills andability to negotiate with both internal and external partners.
  • Experience in project scheduling.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the entire supplychain and drivers on the total cost of ownership at each step.
  • Demonstrated data and financial analysiscapability.
  • Demonstrated self-starter.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and demonstratedexperiences.
  • Cross-functional/organizational projectmanagement and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of strategic sourcingconcepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, with exceptionalskills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • 10-15% travel required.
  • Setting you apart from others would be PM[redacted] and experience with proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems. Solid continuous improvement skills would bea plus.

The base salary range for thisposition in Lexington, NC is $144,200-$195,100 and in Sacramento, CA is $158,700-$214,700and the annual incentive target is 15% of the base salary. The actual salary/wage offered may be lower or higher depending onbudget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
