Right now, we are searching for a Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) to provide consultative support to business leaders in assigned areas on talent management, people-related best practices, employment law, and Fraser employee policies. The Sr. HRBP analyzes data to identify trends in performance and collaborates with leaders to evaluate the root cause. This position partners with leaders to improve the overall employee experience, drive sustainable growth, increase employee retention and engagement, and serves as a mentor to other HR team members.

Essential functions of the job include:
- Counsels and supports leaders on people-related issues impacting the work environment and culture including retention, employee engagement, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with employment and regulatory requirements.
- Partners with leaders, in collaboration with HR subject matter experts, on talent strategies needed to meet the strategic and operational needs in assigned areas.
- Develops strong and supportive relationships with leaders in assigned areas and establishes a sound understanding of business goals and objectives.
- Supports leaders and employees with employee relations issues including conflict resolution in a manner that promotes understanding, consideration of all needs, and is legally compliant and consistent with Fraser and program policy and procedures.
- Provides consultation as needed to program leaders on employee relations issues and assists with assessment of performance improvement needs and the development of associated action plans.
- Assesses situations and environments within assigned areas affecting employee engagement and provides leaders with advice and recommended courses of action based on operational guidelines, policies, and applicable law to create and maintain a positive work environment.
- Provides necessary education and coaching to area leaders to support recommendations and works with HR functional areas to provide training opportunities consistent with organizational priorities.
- Reviews and analyze metrics on turnover, employee engagement, and employee survey data to identify trends, activities, and potential approaches to achieve operational goals and outcomes.
- First line of contact to field and follow-up on questions from both employees and leaders related to employment law as well as program and Fraser policy and procedure.
- Collaborates with HR team to provide accurate and timely response to questions and needs of employees(s).
- Partners with HR team to identify and discuss trends from turnover or exit interviews.
- Serves as primary person responsible to listen and identify training needs and work with L&D for assigned areas.
- Attends staff meetings and consults with area leaders on regular basis to maintain proactive and positive working relationship.
- Maintains current knowledge in state and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Maintains logs of all employee relations issues and outcome. Consults with HR Director as issues turn more complex.
- Serves as a role-model to sound investigative techniques by demonstrating empathic listening skills, and the ability to balance compassion with the need to deliver clear and difficult messages in a respectful manner.
- Reviews annual performance evaluations for consistency, effectiveness, and risk mitigation.
- Manages unemployment insurance claims within assigned area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications for a Sr. Human Resources Business Partner:
- BA or BS degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field required
- This is a mandatory driving position and a valid Minnesota driver's license with acceptable record and access to a reliable vehicle required
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role
- Excellent organizational and time management skills required- must have the ability to manage multiple projects at one time and demonstrate attention to detail
- Critical, strategic, and analytical thinking skills with the ability to recognize problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions required
- Proficiency in computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook required
- Fluency in the English language, including verbal and written communication with both internal and external contacts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
- PHR or SHRM Certification preferred
- Experience with database management preferred
Location & Schedule:
- This position is working hybrid remote - must be available to come to the Richfield, MN office one day per week.
- Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5:00 pm
