Overview
Nelson Mullins is seeking a Product Liability Litigation Paralegal to assist attorneys representing leading automotive manufacturers and distributors in a range of matters including state and federal proceedings, state motor vehicle proceedings, and class actions. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of litigation experience in a law firm, including case preparation from beginning to end and an understanding of a paralegal's role in the litigation life cycle, especially product liability litigation. Trial preparation and attendance experience is preferred.
This position is an in-office position and is open to either our Denver or Minneapolis office.
A Day in the Life
Performing a broad range of substantive paralegal tasks, you'll work directly with attorneys on product liability, warranty, franchise and distribution law litigation, and other complex business disputes in a variety of industries. You'll maintain and monitor court deadlines for assigned cases and take ownership of case calendars; electronically file documents with the Court through the ECF system under the supervision of an attorney; perform online PACER research; and prepare drafts of pleadings, notices, and motions.
Other responsibilities will allow you to prepare deposition notices (organize, maintain and prepare deposition materials, exhibits and summaries); track and manage discovery, including document productions; participate in case strategy meetings; and handle routine calls and correspondence to courts, outside attorneys, and clients.

This role requires the ability to conduct research using various tool including Internet and Westlaw. This role will require some travel to attend trials as well as overtime to meet business needs. The idea candidate will have a 2 or 4-year degree and a paralegal certificate; however, work experience may be substituted for education.
The annual salary range for this position in Denver, Colorado is $80,000 to $95,000. Please note the final offer amount will be dependent on applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
