Main Responsibilities:

Personnel Management:
  • Supervise two recruiters and ensure effective coordination of recruitment activities.
  • During mass recruitment seasons, be directly involved in hiring and integration activities (approximately 2 months per year)
  • Manage international recruitment processes and follow immigration procedures.
  • Establish and maintain a direct link with employees to answer their questions and concerns.
  • Establish the link with the payroll department if necessary.

General HR Functions:
  • Ensure the daily management of activities related to HR services, including group insurance, RRSPs, and other social benefits.
  • Set up and manage the HR platform in ADP to optimize administrative processes and ensure proper record keeping.
  • Ensure compliance of HR policies and practices with applicable laws and regulations.

Training and Development:
  • Organize and manage workplace training, in partnership with managers, in order to develop employee skills and promote their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with different departments to identify training needs and implement appropriate programs.

Health and Safety at Work:
  • Monitor work accident claim files and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure adequate and rapid processing.
  • Implement initiatives to promote health and safety at work, and reduce the risk of accidents.


Required Skills and Experience:
  • University degree in human resources management, industrial relations, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources management, with significant experience as an HR generalist.
  • Good understanding of laws and regulations relating to human resources in Canada.
  • Experience in team management, particularly in supervising recruiters.
  • Practical knowledge of human resources management systems (knowledge of the ADP platform an asset).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to proactively resolve problems.
  • Experience in international recruitment and management of immigration processes.
  • Training and development skills, with an ability to identify training needs and coordinate educational programs.
  • Experience in managing work accident claim files and promoting workplace health and safety initiatives.
  • Bilingual (French and English) with excellent written and oral communication skills in both languages.
  • Previous experience in the snow removal or landscaping or construction industries (assets)
  • Familiarity with Canadian benefits and employee wellness programs.
