Description and Requirements
Lead the effort to ensure base compensation in paid on time and with quality to brokers, general agents, and third-party entities. Supports compensation initiatives for new products and new compensation programs. Focus on continuous improvement and simplification, and risk reduction, while developing, implementing, and revising procedures, processes, and initiatives.
Job Location: M ust be commutable distance to MetLife Office in one or the four locations only - Tampa, FL, Aurora IL, Charlotte NC, or Bridgewater NJ
Key Responsibilities:
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Technical Skills
Working knowledge of Group Benefits compensation systems, Cognos reporting, Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel (i.e., Strong Pivot Table Skills, V-Lookups. etc.). Working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams.
Preferred Experience and Education:
5-6 years in Group Compensation or other part of Group implementation, sales support, service, or other related Group experience
Working Environment:
Occasionally, deadlines can be intense and having a keen attention to detail is critical to maintaining workflow and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and responds to broker inquiries and support their basic compensation reporting needs.
- Defines and develops new processes to simplify or expand compensation processing that will gain the larger team additional capacity.
- Created and/or updates procedures for processes that he or she leads.
- Builds and maintains key relationships within Sales Comp Admin and Technology partners.
- Inspires trust, teamwork, and positive relationships within the team and with all external partners.
- Performs analysis of payments.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment that is different every day.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal),
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, Accountability, initiative and high level of ownership, strong customer service skills which include empathy and patience, positive attitude, active listening skills, ability to deliver with a sense of urgency and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong working knowledge of the Group Benefits business and Group Broker compensation, commissions.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, comfortable working autonomously, enjoys continuously learning and building new business and technical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills needed to manage and work with many different personalities and styles.
- Mastery of written, verbal and email communication skills are required and critical to effectively communicate with clients, producers, and internal business partners.
