Position Purpose: The Global Corporate Insurance Risk Manager, working under minimal supervision and with appreciable latitude for actions and decisions, maintains an effective Corporate Insurance Program which includes the types of insurance coverages that typically would be included in an insurance program for a company with a similar risk profile to StoneX. To that end, the Global Corporate Insurance Risk Manager will assist in the on-going evaluation of the StoneX's existing Insurance Program, including tracking and analyzing premium and exposure growth, identifying gaps in coverage, analyzing new- insurance products to determine if they would be appropriate and/or desirable, as well as analyzing the risks inherent in new products and services to determine which insurance products which would be responsive.

The Global Corporate Insurance Risk Manager is responsible for procurement of all lines of insurance in the Corporate Insurance program, including but not limited to Cyber, D&O, E&O, Property & Casualty, Physical Commodity policies, General Liability, Auto Liability, Workers Compensation and Employers Liability Insurance policies as well as maintaining, updating and tracking the policies listed on the Company's "Schedule of Insurance") to insure they do not lapse.They will participate in claims administration functions in conjunction with Legal, including reporting, investigating and tracking claims made under such policies.
The Global Corporate Insurance Risk Manager will act as a Subject Matter Expert for other Departments, and may respond to questions relating to insurance and reviewing third party contracts to ensure they contain appropriate insurance requirements, as well as appropriate risk transfer and indemnification language.
They are responsible for loss control activities, including reviewing and enhancing investigation procedures and performing trend analysis to identify root causes and address recurrence and prevention of unexpected incidents that may result in injury to employees, customers and other external parties.

Responsibilities

To land this role you will need:
  • Experience in the commercial insurance industry for the US domestic and international markets to properly perform risk analysis and assessment.
  • Develop and implement StoneX Group and affiliates' risk management plan and strategy, communicate expectations and obligations through Senior Executives and managers, and monitor and report on performance to improve risk profile.
  • Responsible for understanding and analyzing complex insurance issues and developing and executing appropriate policies, procedures and loss prevention strategies to mitigate the StoneX's exposure to risk and to identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Continually review the company risk profile to ensure the insurance programs are fit for purpose, including coverage, endorsements, reinsurance, etc.
  • Oversees operations and performance of insurance broker, Third Party Administrators (TPA's) and other vendors; manages deliverables; reviews vendor contracts.
  • Coordinates insurance applications, renewal programs and maintenance of expirations
  • Provide assistance to business divisions in contract reviews and negotiations of insurance and indemnity provisions to minimize the company's exposure to risk
  • Keep informed regarding insurance industry information, new product information, regulation, and coverages to continuously improve knowledge and performance and make recommendations to leadership.
  • Review of third-party vendor insurance coverage for subset of global vendor population.
  • Initial review of insurance coverage for potential mergers/acquisitions.


Qualifications

Education/Certification Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; or equivalent related professional experience
  • 5+ years in managing insurance programs
