Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Specialty Software Engineer in Technology as part of Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology. In this role, you will:
  • Lead a high performing Agile team developing software in Java using object-oriented principals and design patterns
  • Work directly with Business Analysts, Traders, Sales & Operations personnel, to clearly understand requirements
  • Create thorough designs - and ensure that these designs integrate well into existing architecture and frameworks
  • Oversee and/or create/modify SQL database objects (tables, views, stored procedures, etc.) and document store such as MongoDB
  • Guide the team through thorough unit testing & documentation of development activities
  • Participate in 'Peer-reviews' of source code and provide constructive feedback
  • Ensure compliance & risk management requisites are appropriately met; work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
  • Assure quality, maintainability, and extensibility for supported systems and risk applications
  • Provide Level 3 production support as required


Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years Java development experience
  • 3+ years of Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD) experience
  • 2+ years or relational or NoSQL DB experience
  • 1+ years of Experience with SDLC and Agile tools such as JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, Confluence etc.


Desired Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Capital Markets Technology related experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment like Front-office Trading, Middle-office and/or Risk Management
  • 4+ years of DevOps tool set based continuous incremental delivery experience
  • 2+ years working Kubernetes like container technology
  • 2+ years working public cloud provider such as Azure or GCP
  • 2+ years using cloud based open source Distributed Caching technology
  • 2+ years of experience working with opensource messaging technologies on cloud such as Apache Kafka/Confluent Enterprise


Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$138,500.00 - $287,600.00
