ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Manager, Research Liaisons is responsible for leading, supporting, and developing a group of diverse associates. The Research Liaison team provides support to Fixed Income Portfolio Managers, Credit Analysts, Directors of Research, and traders and is responsible for post set-up enrichment of security level data, attribution reporting, and quantitative support. The Manager will ensure all applicable policies and regulatory requirements are followed while also influencing the development of team specific service level offerings, procedures, and training plans. Working collectively with peers and leadership, the Manager will aid in the implementation of process improvements and production efficiencies that align to the firm's strategic priorities.

ROLE SUMMARY

Supervises an investment operations team responsible for tailored investment operations-related support to assist key stakeholders in decision making, serving as primary conduit to investments. Leverages specialized business and technical expertise to lead and manage complex investment-related, operational activities.

Serves as key point of contact for team members when complexity is introduced to operational activities and advises leaders and key stakeholders on broad-ranging projects. Uses significant autonomy in decision making on broad-ranging topics while ensuring operational readiness to support investment management activities for new and existing complex investment strategies, products, separate accounts, and investment types.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises an investment operations enablement team and will be responsible for achieving team goals and objectives and talent management.


  • Plans, allocates, and monitors workflow to ensure that team activities are accurately and timely completed, ensuring the team adheres to quality standards as defined by the policies and procedures established by leadership.


  • Acts as an escalation point for complex problems that less experienced resources cannot solve.


  • Communicates with stakeholders to support their needs and ensure satisfaction.


  • Recruits, directs, motivates, and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Has accountability for the human resources activities within the team (hiring, discipline, firing).


TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND


  • 8+ years of total relevant work experience

  • Strategic thinker and problem-solver with proven ability to understand details and actively participate in execution to ensure success.


  • Above-average time-management skills and effective ability to prioritize


  • Ability to influence and interact effectively with stakeholders and partners

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work up to two days a week.
