The candidate will support the Preferred Controls, Operations & Supervision organization to create a best-in-class overall client experience and risk controls environment. The primary focus of the role will be supporting the Anti-Money Laundering Program for the Preferred business.

This role will focus on ensuring adherence with internal policy and Standards, meeting and delivering on regulatory requirements and driving key process enhancements and initiatives related to AML Further responsibilities include but are not limited to, oversight of high-risk clients and processes, trend identification and root cause analysis and development and implementation of high priority monitoring routines.

The candidate will be expected to conduct end to end assessments of existing processes, controls and metrics with the goal of enhancement a sustainable AML program. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across the enterprise which will be critical to ensuring a holistic consistent approach to AML related processes.

Required Qualifications:
  • Understanding of Preferred & Consumer Investments clients/business and the overall platform (client facing and internal)
  • Strong analytical capability to drive root cause analysis, demonstrate attention to detail, deliver concise and value added reporting for team, partners, and senior leadership
  • Ability to shift priorities on a daily basis with short notice
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to present in high pressure setting, and/or to senior leadership
  • Ability to follow high pressure meetings and capture main points, details, and next steps for retention and distribution
  • Demonstrated creative resolution development, problem solving, and follow up skills.
  • Self-starter able to work independently, with minimal oversight and guidance
  • Ability to quickly develop subject matter expertise across a broad spectrum of issues
  • Strong organization skills, including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities/projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Provide statistical analysis to identify trends and outlier metrics
  • Demonstrates leadership, and process improvements to deliver results
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of internal systems and tools utilized across the Preferred organization
  • Must be proficient in advanced MS Excel functions, PowerPoint, Word, WebEx, OneNote


Desired Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in the AML or Financial Crimes fields
  • Flexibility to quickly shift from one area of focus to another
  • Business Controls and/or Supervision Experience
  • Series 9/10


Enterprise Job Description:
This job is responsible for leading and executing on internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF). Key responsibilities include executing LOB or ECF processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards. Job expectations include supporting the implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes within the LOB or ECF through ongoing monitoring and testing of controls, identifying issues and control improvements for remediation, and building out actions plans and milestones.

Responsibilities:
  • Leads the assessment of the design and effectiveness of the risk and control environment to support Client Operational Services and ensure adherence to enterprise-wide standards
  • Performs monitoring and testing of controls, identifying issues and control improvements for remediation
  • Leads the implementation of optimized controls and enhanced Quality Assurance (QA) practices to support business continuity efforts
  • Manages the performance and productivity of team members that conduct quality inspection reviews
  • Ensures timely execution of QA activities including control execution, case management, and results reporting
  • Manages and reviews all operations front line unit responses for regulatory exams, internal audits, and other monitoring and inspection reviews
  • Ensures accuracy of data and that relevant information is captured for inspection metrics to support governance for dashboard reporting
