Workday Configuration Consultant

The Global HR Experience Solutions team is looking for a Workday Configuration Consultant to support our HRIS Workday in the areas of configuration, production management, new feature adoption and the development of solutions for complex business issues and system enhancements across Manulife's HR Tech Stack. The successful candidate will be a global subject matter expert and liaison of our HRIS Workday for our divisional and functional representatives. In this capacity, you will build new configuration and reporting solutions based on the business requirements, oversee the data integrity to enable reporting, as well lead day-to-day operational improvements. In addition to supporting Workday, you will also be responsible for troubleshooting and enhancing other HR technologies including our recognition and learning platforms.

Salary range is expected to be between
$70,350.00 CAD - $117,250.00 CAD

Key Responsibilities
- Program delivery for core Workday HCM, time tracking, absence management, recruitment and compensation.
- Provide expert insight for Workday HCM product suite with hands-on experience of design, configuration, testing and implementation
- Partnered with clients to translate business requirements into appropriate technical design leveraging expertise in Human Resource discipline
- Advise clients on choices, potential risks or impacts on other HR related systems or business processes
- Execute regular upgrade projects, including planning, project management, configuration, regression testing, and assisting HR through any significant system changes
- Enhancement implementations from HR and IT
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience working with Workday - with hands-on configuration experience within Workday system
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Management Information System, or related field or experience
- Knowledge and experience within core Workday HCM, absence management, recruitment and/or compensation
- Knowledge and experience supporting other HR technology platforms an asset i.e LMS, Recognition Program, CRM etc.
- Proven ability to work independently while building, managing, and fostering a team-oriented environment
- Able to identify process improvements, manage issues, and resolve roadblocks independently
- Requires advanced problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to translate complex and vague HR requirements into actionable items and design solutions that enhance our digital employee experience
