POSITION SUMMARY:
BB&E Is seeking a Construction Engineer to support AFCEC/CFD onsite at Tyndall AFB, FL.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide the NDR Division with programmatic and management support including estimation of project funding priorities for all MILCON, 2854, and FSRM projects.
- Assist the Government in developing and prioritizing reconstruction requirements.
- Develop Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) costs.
- Develop work statements.
- Develop design and work statement cost estimates.
- Develop construction cost estimates.
- Develop recommended project schedules based on the Government's design and work statement requirements.
- Conduct construction market surveys.
- Conduct Value Engineering (VE) studies for FSRM projects with programmed amounts at or above $10M.
- Assist the Government in developing project status reports.
- Reports shall include project schedule and updates, updated project costs, and the change order register.
- Develop and maintain a master program schedule using a software scheduling package, such as Primavera. This requirement does not pertain to Tyndall. The Tyndall IMS support requirements are included under Section 2.8.1.1.
- Assist the Government in developing program status reports.
- Assist the NDR Division with planning the purchase of materials that are necessary and integral for the performance of this contract.
- Assist the NDR Division with the coordination and scheduling of training.
- Assist the NDR Division with Government property inventory control and auditing.
- Collect, create, review, analyze, store, and present digital information in
support of the execution of the NDR MILCON program.
- Disseminate information gained on projects or programs to appropriate USAF stakeholders.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with DoD and Air Force Engineering Policies & Concepts.
- U.S. Citizen
- Motivated self-starter
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- Bachelor of Science or any Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum, ten (10) years of directly related work experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
- Working conditions:
- Ability to work both indoor/outdoor (with exposure to the elements).
- Ability to walk/climb/knee/crouch and reach.
- Ability to work on rough terrain when necessary.
- Exposure to hazards/contaminants at times.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and/or heights.
