Logistics Support Specialist
to join the Civil Engineer Maintenance Inspection and Repair Team (CEMIRT) at the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC), Operations Directorate (AFCEC/CO) at
Tyndall AFB, FL . Job Duties & Responsibilities
General Supply Support: Assist in the initiation of shipping documents, coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, receive inbound freight, unpackage, and re-stock supply levels; deliver freight to local TMO warehouse for outbound shipment; assist in the tracking of supply levels by maintaining inventory and ordering NSN parts and supplies; certify hazardous cargo and initiate documentation for shipment Manage all activities related to the receipt, issuance, storage, and tracking of tools and equipment; maintain inventory accuracy, optimize tool usage, and ensure that all tools are properly maintained and available when needed by CEMIRT personnel; provide close coordination with Branch Managers and GPC cardholders to ensure the availability of critical tools and to prevent shortages or overstock situations; maintain accurate records or tools issued, returned, and in need of repair; ensure tools are properly cleaned, calibrated, and maintained for future issuing Use Computerized Inventory Management System to track tool availability, usage, and stock levels; perform regular inventory audits to ensure tool counts are accurate and address discrepancies as they arise; track tool trends and proactively manage inventory to avoid shortages or overstocking; generate monthly inventory reports on usages, shortages, maintenance, and other operational concerns Provide timely and professional customer service to employees, ensuring their requests are met efficiently; address employee questions and concerns related to tool availability Responsible for receiving and verifying incoming shipments of parts and materials, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders; responsible for stocking parts in designated storage areas organizing inventory and delivering parts to specific workstations or departments as needed; cross-reference shipments with purchase orders and packing slips to ensure the correct quantity and type of items received; report discrepancies and damages to government personnel for correction; properly label and store parts in designated storage locations or bins, following organizational procedures for inventory management; track inventory levels and notify AFCEC/COM supervision weekly Responsible for operating and maintaining CEMIRT Epilog Class 2 Laser Engraver; produce high-quality, precise engravings and cuts on a variety of materials; this role will involve setting up and configuring the machine, preparing the materials, ensuring proper operation, and conducting quality checks on completed work Work with metal, wood, acrylic, plastic, glass, etc.; support CEMIRT operations by producing data plates, name plates, engineered data markings, etc. using supplied equipment and consumables; compile and manage consumable products; oversee minor maintenance and upkeep of system; coordinate with Government personnel for major issues or repairs Estimated tasks include providing logistics support and tool management coordination for up to 1000 individual tool item; maintain and file usage reports quarterly on inventory status, to include any missing, damaged, broken items; lead coordination over supply cage/crib/storage activity to include stocking, pulling equipment, issuing equipment, as well as establishing new areas to further program efforts; estimated to have 250 laser engraver requests/jobs annually; inventory and stock over 5000 items annually as received; perform annual inventory of AAS parts and components; requires ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds Key Qualifications

knowledge of Hazardous Material and Hazardous Waste Management Programs knowledge of vehicle control officer (VCO) program with working knowledge of systems when working with vehicle maintenance and vendors on vehicle and equipment repair and calibration
Strong Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences Software/Hardware:
Proficiency using MS Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to operate and maintain CEMIRT Epilog Class 2 Laser Engraver Self-Starter:
Highly motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines autonomously Experience & Education
Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience and demonstrated experience with the following
Air Force and DoD logistics processes with particular focus on logistics, hazard materials/waste, safety, government purchase card, and vehicle management
Preparing shipping documents for vehicle and equipment shipment via land, air, and/or sea; these documents include but are not limited to hazardous declaration statements (HAZDECS), material safety data sheets (MSDSs), and transportation forms such as 1149s Applying knowledge of HazMat and HazWaste Management Programs to manage programs, continuity binders, monthly reports, and ensuring compliance Air Force Safety programs, applying skills to coordinate shop safety programs, continuity binders, and filing reports, ensuring compliance Occupational Health and Respiratory Programs Education:
A minimum of an associate's degree or higher in Logistics Physical Requirements
Ability to travel within CONUS in support of transporting vehicles and equipment for maintenance and repair Ability to stand/walk/climb/kneel/crouch and remain in a stationary position/sit at least 60% of the time Ability to operate office equipment, including computer, copy machine, phone, etc. Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
