We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to lead all HR operations for the Showboat Resort. The HR Director will serve as a strategic partner to the executive team, ensuring the effective implementation of human resource policies, practices, and initiatives that align with organizational goals. This role involves managing talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compliance, while fostering a positive workplace culture.

- Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on organizational development, talent management, and workforce planning.
- Lead the HR team in delivering high-quality services across all HR functions.
- Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:
- Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process to ensure the company attracts and retains top talent.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.
- Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and platforms.
- Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Serve as a key contact for employees, mediating disputes, and promoting fairness.
- Develop programs and initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Foster a culture of open communication and inclusivity within the organization.
- Performance Management & Development:
- Oversee performance appraisal systems and ensure consistency in performance feedback and development planning.
- Design and implement employee development and training programs to promote professional growth.
- Support managers in addressing performance issues and facilitating performance improvement plans.
- Compensation & Benefits:
- Administers of employee compensation, benefits, and rewards programs.
- Ensures the company's compensation is competitive with market trends.
- Manage relationships with benefits providers and ensure employees are informed about their options.
- Compliance & Legal:
- Ensure the company complies with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Manage employee investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations in accordance with company policies and legal guidelines.
- Maintain up-to-date records and reports related to employee data and HR metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices.
- Experience in leading HR functions across talent management, employee relations, performance management, and recruitment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and employees at all levels.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
