SUMMARY:

As the Construction Project Manager for the Con East Team in the Jacksonville, FL and Kingsland, GA area, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage construction projects to ensure their successful completion within scope, budget, and schedule. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to coordinate resources, monitor progress, and resolve issues as they arise. Your role is essential in delivering high-quality construction projects that meet client expectations and contribute to the overall success of the organization's construction projects in the Con East region.

  • SALARY RANGE: $100,000 - $140,000

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage and oversee construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project objectives, budget, and schedule.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
  • Communicate regularly with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to provide updates on project status, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, regulations, and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and approve project deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and change orders, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage project finances, including tracking expenses, approving invoices, and monitoring project costs to ensure profitability.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, including mentoring and developing team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Construction Project Manager to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to optimize project delivery.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Daily Duties:
  • Review project schedules and coordinate daily activities with subcontractors and construction teams.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure work is being carried out according to specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory authorities, to provide updates and address any concerns.
  • Monitor and track project progress, including materials deliveries, labor hours, and equipment usage.
  • Address any issues or conflicts that arise on site, such as scheduling conflicts, material shortages, or safety hazards.
  • Document daily activities, including work performed, materials used, and any incidents or accidents that occur on site.
  • Attend project meetings and provide input on project planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Coordinate with project superintendent and foremen to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.

Weekly Duties:
  • Conduct weekly progress meetings with subcontractors and construction teams to review project status, identify challenges, and develop action plans.
  • Review and update project schedules, ensuring alignment with overall project timelines and milestones.
  • Prepare and distribute progress reports to project stakeholders, highlighting achievements, issues, and upcoming milestones.
  • Conduct safety meetings and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to review material orders, track deliveries, and address any delays or discrepancies.
  • Review project budgets and expenses, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Coordinate with project superintendent to address any staffing needs or performance issues among construction teams.

Monthly Duties:
  • Review and analyze monthly project financial reports, including budget vs. actual expenditures, and identify any variances or trends.
  • Conduct project quality inspections to assess compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Review and update project risk register, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in monthly project review meetings with senior management to provide updates on project performance and discuss any issues or challenges.
  • Evaluate subcontractor performance and address any concerns or deficiencies through performance improvement plans or contract modifications.
  • Conduct training sessions for construction teams on safety protocols, quality standards, and project procedures.
  • Review and approve change orders, requests for information (RFIs), and other project documentation.

Key Performance Indicators:
  • Project Delivery Timeliness: Achieve a project delivery timeliness rate of 90% or higher.
  • Budget Adherence: Maintain adherence to project budgets and achieve profitability targets.
  • Client Satisfaction: Maintain a high level of client satisfaction through effective communication and successful project outcomes.
  • Safety Performance: Ensure compliance with safety standards and achieve a safety compliance rate of 95% or higher.
  • Team Performance: Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture, as evidenced by positive team feedback and performance reviews.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain adherence to quality standards and achieve project quality goals.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Construction Project Manager for the Con East Team, you will lead project teams and provide supervision, guidance, and support to project engineers, field supervisors, and other team members. You will be responsible for managing personnel, assigning tasks, and overseeing their performance to ensure successful project outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, with demonstrated success in managing medium-scale projects
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, eCMS, RMS
  • Knowledge of construction industry regulations, codes, and standards
  • Possession of Secret Clearance is a plus
