Primary Responsibilities
Leidos is seeking a Systems Administrator that designs, develops, tests, integrates and deploys solutions for critical requirements. The current solution is at the end of life stage, therefore new solutions need to be developed and incorporated; new and innovative technologies utilized to successfully meet the user requirements. The goal of the Customer is to design and deliver an enterprise-level system with a modular, segmented architecture that can support both large scale and small scale solutions in order to meet the requirements across a broad range of applicable use cases. In order to support the technical requirements, the Customer requires Information Technology (IT) activities to achieve the goal of designing, developing, testing, integrating and deploying the solutions.
The Systems Administrator will create, test, and maintain test, development and production environments; implement established technical and workflow procedures, troubleshoot network and application issues, and providing guidance and technical assistance as needed. They will update technical configuration documents, manage the system lifecycle, support technical review boards as needed, and participate in technical design reviews as needed. The Administrator will also
prepare and deliver required documentation to include both program and user level documentation,
interact with members of the technical team leads; to understand the current system, subsystems, and component specifications and be able to use experience to recommend changes to facilitate efficient and effective development, communicate and share expertise within and across the Sponsor's organizational boundaries and work both independently and in small groups.
The Data Scientist shall diagnose, isolate and expediently resolve complex problems pertaining to data infrastructure.
Basic Qualifications
1. Bachelors degree and 12 years of experience. Work experience can be used/combined with education.
2. A general knowledge of the Linux command line (Changing directories, making files, setting permissions on files)
3. Experience creating/Editing configuration files for services tailored to our solution
4. Beginner to Intermediate scripting/automation concepts (Configuration management and server herding)
5. An understanding of security standards and best practices for Linux OS
6. Experience maintaining and patching on-prem infrastructure, understand and create software repositories
7. An understanding of anti-virus software and management of it, basic domain services such as NTP, DNS, DHCP
8. An understanding of fundamental networking, ports, protocols, etc.
9. Experience standing up and maintaining web servers, understand basic server and networking hardware
10. Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira, ServiceNow, or similar, and be comfortable supporting an engineering team building solutions from the ground up with little oversight
11. Demonstrated experience with Linux and PowerShell administration.
Preferred Qualifications
11. Demonstrated experience creating, testing, and maintaining test, development and production environments
12. Demonstrated experience troubleshooting network and application issues.
13. Demonstrated experience preparing and deliver required documentation to include both program and user level documentation
14. Ansible or similar orchestration tools are a plus

Pay Range: Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00
